How food truck catering pricing actually works

Pricing starts at $8 per guest for events in Philadelphia and core New Jersey, and $10 per guest for locations farther out. That's the floor — the true cost for most events lands higher depending on menu selections, service window length, and which service style you choose.

Most food truck catering events price between $18–$28 per guest for food and service, plus a fixed staffing and equipment fee ($380–$450) that covers your dedicated crew and truck setup. Travel is included for our Philadelphia and core New Jersey footprint.

Service minimums exist because staffing and fuel costs are fixed regardless of headcount. If your guest-count math comes in below the minimum, we roll the quote up to the minimum — you still get the full crew and setup, just for a smaller group.

What the calculator does not include

The estimate above does not include sales tax, gratuity, permit fees if your municipality requires them, or premium menu add-ons (late-night station, custom dessert add-on, premium cheese upgrades). When you request an exact quote we factor all of these in upfront — no surprise line items.

Frequently asked questions

How much does food truck catering cost per person in Philadelphia?
Food truck catering in Philadelphia starts at $8 per guest and can reach $34 per guest for full-service events with premium menu add-ons. Most events land between $18–$28 per guest before staffing and travel.
How much does food truck catering cost per person in New Jersey?
Food truck catering in core New Jersey (Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Mercer, Monmouth counties) also starts at $8 per guest — the same as our Philadelphia rate. Events farther out may see a small travel adjustment.
What is the minimum cost for food truck catering?
Our service minimums are $1,500 for full food truck catering, $1,200 for a pop-up station, and $350 for drop-off catering. These ensure each event gets a properly staffed, well-supplied crew.
What is the difference between food truck and drop-off catering?
Food truck catering means the truck arrives, parks, and our crew cooks and serves your guests live on-site. Drop-off means we prepare the food and deliver it packaged and ready to serve — no truck, no on-site staff. Drop-off is lower cost and works well for office lunches and smaller gatherings.
Is travel included in the price?
Travel is included for events in Philadelphia and core New Jersey. Events in the broader tri-state area (NYC metro, Bucks County, Delaware) carry a $175 travel fee. Extended locations beyond 90 miles carry a $425 travel fee.
How do I get an exact catering quote?
Submit a quote request with your date, venue, and guest count and we will return a formal, itemized quote within 2 business hours. No obligation, no high-pressure sales.
