Perfect for Your Special Day
Grilly Cheese wedding catering is a gourmet food truck catering service that brings a fully-equipped mobile kitchen to your wedding venue across Philadelphia, New Jersey, and the greater Northeast. Designed for couples who want a memorable, interactive dining experience in place of or alongside traditional catering, it serves 50 to 500+ wedding guests with made-to-order grilled cheese sandwiches, customizable sides, and menus that accommodate dietary restrictions including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Grilly Cheese has catered hundreds of weddings across NJ and PA and has been recognized as one of the top six grilled cheese catering brands in the nation.
A grilled cheese food truck at your wedding? It works better than you'd think. We serve 50-500 guests with fresh, made-to-order sandwiches right at your venue — cocktail hour, dinner, late-night snack, or all three.
Quick Answer:
Wedding food truck catering is perfect for cocktail hour, dinner, or a late-night snack. Grilly Cheese serves grilled cheeses and sides with fast, friendly service and simple logistics. We are self-contained with an onboard generator and typically need about a 30 ft by 10 ft space. Tell us your guest count and timeline for a quick quote.
Your guests will talk about your wedding food for years. A food truck adds personality and excitement that traditional catering can't match.
The truck itself becomes part of the wedding. Guests love taking photos with it, and your photographer will too — it makes for a backdrop you won't get from a standard caterer.
We handle everything from setup to cleanup. You focus on celebrating while we serve fresh, hot food all night long.

After-Party Option
Late-night wedding food truck service is a separate hire from your main reception — with its own timing, simplified menu, and pricing. Grilly Cheese opens the truck between 9:30 PM and midnight so guests can wind down with gourmet grilled cheese and fries after hours of dancing.

We've served food trucks at every type of wedding venue across NJ and PA. Here's what the setup looks like at each.
Most barn venues have ample outdoor space. We stage near the barn entrance or in an adjacent lot. Gravel and packed grass are both fine — our truck is heavy-duty and handles most surfaces.
We park outside the main entrance and guests walk out to the truck, or we coordinate a timed service window during cocktail hour. Pop-up indoor stations are also available for venues that prohibit trucks on-site.
Winery properties typically have open driveway or patio access. We coordinate placement with your event coordinator to protect landscaping. We need a firm, level surface — ground protection boards available on request.
Open-air weddings are where we shine. We position near the tent entrance or cocktail area, serve during your reception window, and handle everything from setup to cleanup. Fully self-contained — no shore power needed.
Service timing, menu depth, and staffing shift based on how many guests you're hosting.
Ideal for intimate barn weddings, backyard ceremonies, and smaller receptions.
Our most common wedding size. Works at nearly any venue type.
Works well for large estate, ballroom, and outdoor tent receptions.
Our truck is fully self-contained and operational in rain. For guests, we typically adjust positioning so they can queue under an overhang, tent, or near the venue entrance. We've served hundreds of weddings through New Jersey and Pennsylvania weather — a little rain doesn't stop service.
The truck parks outside, and guests step out to it — or we coordinate a timed service window where a dedicated flow is part of the reception plan. For venues where outdoor access isn't possible, we offer indoor pop-up stations.
We recommend 4–6 months for spring and fall weddings, and up to a year for peak-season Saturday dates in May, June, September, and October. That said, if your date is closer, reach out — we sometimes have last-minute availability.
Pricing depends on guest count, service duration, menu selections, and travel distance. Generally falls in the $8–$28+ per person range. We provide free custom quotes — just send your date, location, and headcount.
Yes. For large weddings we streamline the menu to 4–6 core items, extend the service window, and bring a full crew. At peak efficiency we serve 100+ guests per hour. For very large receptions (300+), we may recommend two service stations.
No. Our truck is completely self-contained with an onboard generator. Shore power at your venue is welcome but never required.
